About Founders & Survivors
Founders & Survivors is a partnership between historians, genealogists, demographers and population health researchers. It seeks to record and study the founding population of 73,000 men women and children who were transported to Tasmania. Many survived their convict experience and went on to help build a new society.
All material published on this website is protected so far as is allowed by the provisions of the Copyright Act 1968.
Apart from any use permitted by the Act, the project team of Founders and Survivors grants users of this site a licence (within the meaning of the Act) to download, print and otherwise reproduce the information for non-commercial purposes only.
