This site will be offline for a major upgrade on Monday 13 September, from approximately 10am to 1pm Australian Eastern Standard Time. At this time, we will be upgrading to our new integrated search system. You will be able to see consolidated life histories of convicts drawn from a variety of sources.

Many of you have submitted additional information on convicts. We are waiting for an ethics application to be approved by the University of Melbourne. This will allow us to link this additional data to our convict records, but only if the people who have submitted this data give us permission to make it available. When we are given ethics approval for this, we will get in contact with everyone who has submitted data on Tasmanian convicts to request this permission.
