Transcription Workshop, 15 October 2011

Registrations for this workshop are now closed.

Our second transcription workshop will be held at Melbourne University on Saturday, 15 October 2011 at the Centre for Health & Society, 4th Floor, 207 Bouverie Street, Carlton, commencing at 2 pm, with afternoon tea provided.

Colette McAlpine of the Female Convicts Research Group in Tasmania, will again conduct the class. This workshop will concentrate on transcribing and interpreting conduct records and indents.

The workshop will also enable us to induct our new ships projects volunteers, so if you want to do work for the Female Convicts Research Group and/or take up the challenge to research a whole convict shipload, we would love to see you.

Due to high demand, this workshop will be split into two groups, alternating between transcription and induction into the ships projects.

Transcription Workshop / Ship Project

Hello Claudine,
I was tardy in replying for the upcoming Transcription Workshop. I would therefore like to express an early interest in the December workshop.
I would also like to become involved in the ship project. My preference would be to study "Lord Petre" 1843.
Regards,
Tricia Curry
