Tasmania’s Memory at the State Library of Tasmania

http://portal.archives.tas.gov.au/menu.aspx?search=11

You can now look at digital images of the volumes from the Archives Office of Tasmania and search for your convict.

Do a name search and follow the instructions.

We hope to be able to attach the specific images to each convict’s records in the near future.

If we confirm your convicts as Founders & Survivors, we can attach a ‘Founder Medallion’ to their entry, indicating that they have descendants.

If you wish to contribute a story about your convict, we can publish it on this website to build a living archive of Founders & Survivors. Because of privacy concerns, only people who give you express permission can be mentioned on the website.

If you have a story, contact us using the Contact form.
