Chainletter No. 1, June 2009

This is the first issue of what we hope with be a long-living newsletter for the Australian Research Council funded project, Founders & Survivors: Australian life-courses in historical context.

Chainletter is to be your link with the project team of Founders and Survivors and with other members of the ‘Chain Gang’ of volunteer researchers. We will produce four issues a year and we invite contributions and correspondence from you all. We can publish short stories of your convict ancestors, of interesting historical ‘finds’ and of problems you have encountered in your research.

This issue includes an overview of the project; plans for the next few months; a story from one of our volunteers, Pam Liell, on 'Seeking John Embury'; and a profile of team leader Hamish Maxwell-Stewart. The newsletter is available as a PDF download from http://foundersandsurvivors.org/content/chainletter-no-1-june-2009

If you no longer wish to receive newsletter announcements from us, you can remove yourself from our list at http://foundersandsurvivors.org/newsletter/confirm/remove/
