Clarification: newsletter subscriptions and user accounts

Some of you have received email notification of our newsletter and have tried unsuccessfully to log in as a user on this website. This may be because your address is on our subscription list for the newsletter but is not registered with a user account. These are two different registration systems, but if you do create a new account, your newsletter subscription will then be linked with your account.

In any case, you should not have to log in to download the PDF files for the newsletter. The links are on this page.

Founders and Survivors on Facebook

You can now connect to the Founders and Survivors project on Facebook. http://www.foundersandsurvivors.org/ remains the principal online location for this project, but the Facebook page provides Facebook users with another way of sharing news about the project.

No information about registered users or convict submissions will be published on Facebook.

Software and database updated

Dear friends of Founders and Survivors,

Thank you all for your patience while we updated the software that runs this website. One of the main tasks was to put in place a new system for submitting convicts and viewing and editing your submissions. There are now two new links in the sidebar, for viewing/editing your convicts and submitting new convicts, which you will be able to use when you log in. Please use these links instead of the old submission form.

Dear friends of Founders and Survivors,

It has been encouraging to see all the interest and support that the project has received. To accommodate the increasing numbers of inquiries and convict submissions that we are now receiving, we need to upgrade the software that runs this site. We would also like all of our volunteers and everyone submitting convicts to register an account on this site to enable easier communication.
